What we do with your info.

Short version: we don’t sell your data, we don’t track you across the web, and we only use what you give us to build your site and stay in touch. This page spells out the details.

Who we are

Upstate Web Works is a d/b/a of Bagelcat LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company operating in Greenville County. Throughout this policy, “Upstate Web Works,” “UWW,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Bagelcat LLC doing business as Upstate Web Works. What we collect

Contact / booking form submissions. When you fill out the form on our homepage or a preview site, we collect the fields you type in: name, business name, city, email, phone, and your notes. That’s used to reply to you and build a preview.
Standard web server logs. Our servers keep a short log of each page hit — IP address, browser type, page URL — for 30 days for security and troubleshooting. Automatically purged after that.
Checkout information. If you buy a site, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your billing details. We never see your card number ourselves — only a payment confirmation and the last four digits.

What we don’t collect

Third-party ad-tracking pixels (no Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag, no TikTok pixel).
Analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Segment).
Cross-site behavioral profiles.
Fingerprinting or device-ID tracking.

The only cookies this site uses are the strictly-functional ones required to serve pages over HTTPS. See our Cookie Policy for the full list (currently: none).

Third parties we rely on

To run this site and our business, we use a small number of trusted vendors. When you use our site, some of your data touches theirs:

Cloudflare — DNS and edge protection. Sees the IP addresses of everyone visiting our site.
Stripe — payment processing. Handles your card details directly during checkout under Stripe’s privacy policy; we only receive a confirmation and the last four digits.
Google Workspace — how hello@upstatewebworks.com is delivered to us and how we reply.
Our own hosting — contact-form submissions are stored in our internal database and forwarded to email.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any advertising, marketing, data-broker, or analytics partner.

How we use your info

Reply to you and build a preview site.
Process payment if you decide to buy.
Deliver and support the site we build for you.
Occasional check-ins about your site — never a marketing blast, never an untargeted mailing list.

How long we keep it

Contact form leads that don’t buy: 12 months from last contact, then deleted.
Client records for engagements that closed: 7 years (accounting / tax retention), then deleted.
Web server access logs: 30 days.
Payment records held by Stripe: per Stripe’s own retention policy.

Your rights — California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and others

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to (a) know what personal information we hold about you, (b) get a copy of it, (c) correct it, (d) delete it, (e) opt out of “sale” or targeted advertising, and (f) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these, email hello@upstatewebworks.com from the address you originally used. We respond within 45 days.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of — the default state of this site already honors that request.

Your rights — EU / UK visitors (GDPR)

If you’re in the EU, UK, or an equivalent jurisdiction, you have the additional rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and objection under the GDPR / UK GDPR. Our lawful basis is (a) legitimate interest for replying to unsolicited contact-form messages, (b) contract performance for paying customers. To exercise your rights or file a complaint with a supervisory authority, contact hello@upstatewebworks.com. We do not have an EU representative because our EU-facing processing is minimal; if that changes we’ll appoint one and list them here.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe we have, email us and we’ll delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, keep our servers patched, and limit who can see contact-form submissions to Bagelcat LLC staff operating Upstate Web Works. No system is unbreakable, but we treat your data like our own.

Changes to this policy

If we update this page, we’ll change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be posted here at least 30 days before they take effect.
